“There is no stress reduction strategy that is a panacea”

Here’s what we're told told to do to "calm down":
>Get enough sleep
>Eat right
>Exercise
>Meditate
>Do yoga  or Tai Chi
>Get a massage
>Take time for music, hobbies, volunteer work, or journaling
>Laugh
>Spend time with pets
>Go shopping
>Try aromatherapy or herbal supplements
>Get a prescription for tranquilizers, sedatives, antidepressants or such

Do I have TIME for any of that??? And will it help? Sounds like more stress just piled on. But what if we could prevent stress all together? This would first require a look inside to find out what causes our stress, and then we’d have to find ways to avoid it. So,  the key to reducing stress must be to prevent it. While not all stress is avoidable, like losing a job or a loved one, we (Type A’s) often create our own stress. The trick is to distinguish between the two and follow this advice…

"God, grant me the courage to change the things I can,
The serenity to accept the things I can't,
And the wisdom to know the difference."

And one more GREAT IDEA!
Every morning make a list of things that you want to get done...
THEN, CUT OFF THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE LIST & THROW IT AWAY!
